For over 30 years, Encounters with Canada (EWC) has brought together youth from across the country to discover and experience Canada’s rich democratic history and traditions.
Every week of the school year, 120 to 148 teens make the trip to Ottawa, where they discover their country and learn about Canada’s important institutions, explore career options and develop civic leadership skills. So far, over 95,000 youth have lived the EWC experience.
The largest youth forum in the nation, EWC is a wonderful organization that provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I believe very strongly that every Canadian should have the opportunity to visit our nation’s capital, explore its historic buildings, and learn more about this great country.
If you know of someone (14-17 years of age) who would benefit from such an experience, I encourage you to visit the EWC website and learn more about this outstanding opportunity.
